On the 7-day period self-initiated prevention for visitors to Taiwan

• Under the current policy to respond to the COVID-19, international visitors can attend the conference physically. Visitors passing through Taiwan customs do not need to undergo mandatory quarantine measures. The so-called "7-day period self-initiated prevention" means that visitors should enhance health monitoring by themselves in the first 7 days after entry. If the visitor has symptoms, he/she should promptly monitor or seek medical attention and avoid going out.

• That is, during the 7 days, visitors can go out, go to work, go to school, travel, eat at restaurants, take public transportation, and so on.

• Visitors are not required to ware masks except in healthcare institutes and on public transportation, but most still do. 

• Policies are subject to change at any time. Please pay attention before traveling to Taiwan.

• Recent news has indicated that the policy of wearing masks in indoor spaces could be abolited in the near future.
